Shana Tan, M.A.

Founder & Executive Director

With over 15 years of experience in media and nonprofit leadership, Shana Tan specializes in transforming creative vision into lasting social impact. Holding an M.A. in Communication, she believes that authentic stories can change lives and that unseen talents deserve to shine. Through cross-sector collaboration and the integration of AI and digital art, she founded IN YOU to build a global e-Gallery — a creative economy platform where children’s artwork can be seen, collected, and turned into ongoing education and hope.

Guided by the belief that compassion and creativity can bridge worlds, Shana leads IN YOU in creating spaces where inclusion, art, music, and innovation come together to empower the next generation.

Joanne Wang

Chief Operating Officer

Joanne Wang is a business strategist, nonprofit leader, and passionate believer that the greatest innovations begin with people.

For more than two decades, Joanne has helped organizations grow—from entrepreneurial startups to publicly traded companies—by building the systems, partnerships, and leadership that turn ambitious ideas into lasting success. As the former Chief Operating Officer of Karat Packaging Inc. (NASDAQ: KRT), she played a key role in the company’s rapid national expansion, operational transformation, and successful journey to the public markets while supporting partnerships with many of America’s most recognized brands.

Yet after years of building businesses, Joanne came to realize that the most meaningful return on investment isn’t measured by revenue—it’s measured by lives changed.

Today, as Chief Operating Officer of IN YOU, she brings together her experience in business strategy, organizational development, technology, and cross-sector partnerships to help create a nonprofit built for long-term impact. She believes that purpose deserves the same level of strategic thinking as any successful enterprise, and that sustainable social change requires both heart and execution.

Joanne is passionate about creating opportunities where creativity becomes confidence, community becomes connection, and young people are empowered to discover their own potential. Through IN YOU’s vision of the Art Economy for Good™, she helps transform artistic expression into real opportunities for children, families, and underserved communities.

As the mother of a daughter who has dedicated years to youth leadership and community service, Joanne has witnessed firsthand how encouragement, belonging, and a single opportunity can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. That experience continues to shape her belief that every child deserves to be seen, valued, and given the chance to contribute their unique gifts to the world.

For Joanne, leadership has never been about building bigger organizations. It is about building stronger communities, opening doors for others, and creating systems that allow hope to grow long after the work is done.

“I’ve spent my career helping organizations grow. Today, my greatest purpose is helping people discover that the greatest investment we can make is in the potential of the next generation.”

Donald Wang

Chief Financial Officer

Donald Wang comes from the world of AI and intelligent transportation, where data, systems, and logic drive every decision. Yet what drew him to IN YOU wasn’t technology—it was a song. Moved by the sincerity and power of the music created by IN YOU, he felt something awaken within—a reminder that beyond all code and calculation lies the human heart. With over two decades of experience in technology and operations, Donald now channels his expertise into purpose-driven impact, ensuring IN YOU’s resources are managed with precision and its mission grows with strength. As CFO, he believes that while the future will be driven by AI, it must still be guided by art, empathy, and the warmth of humanity.
